Owning your own business is definitely fulfilling and a great way to do what you love.
However, when you opened your doors, did you realize all the other parts of running the business would be so time consuming? Wearing all the hats on a daily basis is great but can also become too much for one person to handle.
Although they need to stay focused on the bigger picture and future plan, solopreneurs often get caught up in the operational side of the business.
Solopreneur challenges
It's in the name - solopreneur - you're on your own but this doesn't allow for sharing the workload, accountability and m
ore, but also you're lacking the perspective of others and this can lead to tunnel vision which can lead you off a cliff.
Trades refer to working the business as working the tools. What a great expression. You're actually making the needle move, working with clients and fulfilling requests. What other hats are you wearing on a daily basis?

Administration
Operations
Marketing
Sales
Human resources, employee relations
Client services
Accounting and finance
The balancing act
Which of these departments can you delegate? Which departments need you involved? At what point are you losing money by doing them yourself?
Keeping current clients satisfied and sourcing new clients is crucial to future growth. How are you balancing that while working the tools?
Know your worth and your skill set and manage your time with an eye on your pocketbook.
Outsourcing areas of your business to an expert will save you money in the long run as that expert will be faster and therefore save you time which equals money AND frees you up to work on increasing your revenue.
